Aftercare Advice
Aftercare Advice
It is important to follow the aftercare advice to keep your nail looking beautiful once leaving the salon.
Things to remember to do
Be especially careful in the first 24 hours after application and avoid intense heat during this period (e.g. saunas, hot bath/showers, or sunbeds).
Use cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished, to stimulate growth, prevent lifting and prolonging the life of your gel manicure.
Wear rubber gloves when washing up, cleaning or gardening gloves for gardening.
Be careful with chlorine, insect repellent or sunscreen. Always wash your hands thoroughly after use.
Always return to salon for maintenance and removal and follow any advice given to you by your nail technician.
Things to remember not to do
Avoid long periods of time in water (e.g. long baths, swimming, washing up).
Do not use your nails as tools (e.g. screwdriver) as this could lead to cracking. Take care opening ring pulls or car doors etc. Your nails are jewels not tools!!
Never pick or peel the product off as this could damage your upper nail of your natural nail causing lots of damage. Please contact me to have a repair done or removal. Repairs are free of charge under the 72 hours of the appointment after this is a small charge please see the price list.
Avoid filing your nails and pushing your cuticles back, as this will break the seal of the gel and can lead to chipping.
Recommend keeping up regular maintenance every 3 weeks to keep your nails in the best condition. Book your next appointment.
